Congress’s Silence Helps BJP and Election Commission in ‘Vote Theft’: Priyanka Kakkar (Image Source: Press Release)

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused Congress of staying silent while the BJP and the Election Commission allegedly worked together to steal votes. Priyanka Kakkar, AAP’s Chief Spokesperson, said that Congress’s silence is helping BJP’s ‘Vote Chori’ (vote theft) to continue. She said Congress did not speak up when AAP exposed deleted votes in Delhi, when their candidate was kept under house arrest in Gujarat, and when votes were tampered with in Chandigarh. Kakkar also said that Congress talks about election problems only in Maharashtra and Karnataka but ignores the issues in Delhi.

Evidence of Vote Manipulation Ignored

Priyanka Kakkar said that for months, AAP has shown how BJP workers have tried to delete real voters from the lists. For example, Vishal Bhardwaj, a BJP worker, filed over 11,000 petitions to remove voters in Shahdara, Delhi. AAP collected proof and submitted thousands of pages of affidavits to the Election Commission but still got no response. Kakkar said Congress chose to stay quiet instead of standing against this injustice. She warned that this silence has now encouraged similar voter fraud in Bihar, where real voters are being removed and fake voters added during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

Dangerous Impact on Bihar’s Voters

The spokesperson explained that in Bihar, especially in flood-hit areas, officials called BLOs are ‘verifying’ voters’ citizenship by collecting forms during the monsoon. This is happening in a poor state with many people living outside it and a large rural population. Kakkar said only the central government can decide citizenship, but here local officials are doing it, risking serious mistakes. The Election Commission admitted deleting 6.5 million names, including dead, untraceable, and duplicate voters, but has not shared who was deleted or why. Kakkar questioned why the EC is hiding these details and stressed that election integrity is at stake.

Call for Unity Against Vote Theft

Priyanka Kakkar also exposed digital tampering by the Election Commission. She said voter data from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar was taken down from the EC website and replaced by scanned copies that computers cannot check for fraud. Journalists found fake voters listed with strange names like Dog Babu and Donald Trump in Bihar. She said BJP, with help from the EC, has made vote theft a legal practice to secure BJP’s wins and weaken the opposition. Kakkar urged all citizens to rise above party politics and unite against this fraud. She criticized Congress for ignoring proven vote theft in Delhi and being hypocritical by only focusing on states where it has political interests.
